And you won't have to wait long: Zeel is launching in Boston next week, on Sept. 28.
People can book "five-star, spa-quality" massages using Zeel's smartphone apps or on Zeel.com. Not only will the massage therapists come straight to your home, office or event with a minimum one-hour notice, they are also available any time between 8 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., seven days a week. Zeel said all of its massage therapists are "fully vetted, experienced, background-checked and licensed in their state of practice."
“Boston is the perfect home for Zeel,” Samer Hamadeh, founder and CEO of Zeel, said in a statement. “Boston is one of the most important tech centers of the United States, and Bostonians are smart, busy and health-conscious – the perfect customers for Zeel’s ultra-convenient, top-quality massage offering.”
In addition to the on-demand massage service, Zeel also has a premium in-home massage membership called "Massage Zeelot," which gives members one massage a month for a year, along with a professional-grade massage table and other features.
Founded in 2010, Zeel launched its service in New York City in 2012 and has since expanded to the NYC Tri-State area, South Florida, Southern California, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area. The startup has raised at least $3.2 million, with Corigin Ventures as a lead investor, according to CrunchBase. The startup said it has seen month-over-month double-digit growth in customers and massage bookings, making it the "largest and fastest-growing" on-demand massage company in the United States.
